HealingUS Communities Launches Pathways to Recovery Employment Program

Pathways to Recovery is an NJDOL-funded career and employment pathway program that offers career guidance, job readiness training, and personalized support.

FARMINGDALE, NJ, UNITED STATES, September 7, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- HealingUS Communities is proud to announce the launch of its new employment pathway program through the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s Pathways to Recovery initiative. Enrollment is now open for eligible adults who have been directly or indirectly impacted by the opioid crisis.

Pathways to Recovery is a free workforce development program designed to help participants build stability, strengthen confidence and create a practical path toward meaningful employment. Each participant will work with a dedicated case manager to identify career goals, create an individualized employment plan and receive support throughout training, employment and job-retention follow-up. Participants will receive career planning, resume development, interview preparation, job-readiness coaching and connections to employers. Connections to employment trainings that will lead to in-demand occupations will be made.

The program will also help eligible participants address practical barriers that may interfere with training or employment. Depending on documented need, approval and availability, supportive services may include transportation, childcare, identification assistance, work clothing, personal protective equipment, tools, training supplies and certain credentialing costs. Participants will continue receiving support after beginning employment through 30-, 60- and 90-day follow-up.

“The HealingUS peer model has always been rooted in the belief that lasting healing begins with purpose and passion. Through the Pathways 2 Recovery program, we are expanding access to employment support, financial literacy, and essential life skills; the building blocks individuals need to create a new life grounded in independence, confidence, and purpose.”
— Daniel Regan, Founder, Healing Us Communities

The statewide Pathways to Recovery initiative was launched in 2019 to connect opioid-impacted New Jersey residents with training, career services, supportive services and employment opportunities. HealingUS Communities will serve residents of Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Somerset and Union counties.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, reside in one of the program’s seven service counties, have been directly or indirectly impacted by the opioid crisis and need workforce services, training or retraining. Additional eligibility and enrollment requirements apply. Training, supportive services and employment opportunities depend on eligibility, documented need, program approval, funding and availability.
